  • tecTURA aluminium open in doors, when fitted with a standard rebated threshold , can be buried into the sub floor, giving just an 19.5mm up stand. When fitted with a low threshold, there is no up stand, providing level access.

  • No internal room space required.

  • tectTURA aluminium open out doors, when fitted with a standard rebated threshold , can be buried completely in the floor, leaving no visible up stand. When fitted with an aluminium low threshold, there is no up stand, providing level access.

TecTURA Aluminium Bi-Fold Door Cills

  • Our standard aluminium cills are available in four sizes 85mm, 150mm, 190mm and 225mm. The standard size for a normal brickwork aperture is 150mm, which provides a 50mm ( 2′ ) overhang, when the back of the door frame is fitted in line with the back edge of the outside brickwork. The 85mm cill, sometimes referred to as a stub cill, is used when the door frame is fitted forward in the brickwork reveal and likewise the 190mm cill is used when the door is fitted further back in the reveal. You may be required to sit the cill 30mm back over the cavity to conform to Part L of the building regulations, in this case a minimum of a 190mm cill would be required.

Internal handle only is the popular choice for doors not designed for main access, sleek sight lines or as an additional visual security measure.

Unique to aluminium doors there is no blanking plate to the outside, interrupting external sight lines.
